Manchester City is increasing the pressure on Bernardo Silva to sign a new contract with the club. According to sources, they aim to put an end to the transfer speculation around the Portuguese star. Silva’s departure from City has been strongly reported this summer, with Barcelona and PSG also interested.
According to sources, the new contract would raise his weekly compensation to £300,000. City are pressuring the midfielder for a response in order to put an end to doubts over his future.

Barcelona has long been a fan of Silva, with Joan Laporta recently confirming his desire to recruit the Portuguese star. PSG has also approached City about a swap deal for the player.
Saudi Arabia has also expressed interest. Al Hilal is willing to pay Silva £500,000 per week to transport him to the Middle East. No team, however, has been able to satisfy Pep Guardiola’s £70 million asking price for the popular player.

If Silva does decide to depart, the club is eager to find a replacement. Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella has previously been linked with a transfer to them.
Silva has already rejoined his teammates for pre-season, and the Portuguese international has had no problems. Guardiola has been pleased with his comeback attitude.
Guardiola’s team has only signed Mateo Kovacic in a £25 million trade from Chelsea this summer. They are still hopeful of bringing in RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol before the end of the transfer window.
