Man United vs Southampton: Manchester United players will be seen wearing black armbands on Sunday in the Premier League game against Southampton. This gesture is to pay respect to Ian Stirling, a fan representative of the Man United club, who died from a stroke at age 57. Stirling was a founding member of United’s Fans’ Advisory Board and led several campaigns from the front. He was also a part of the recent protests against Manchester United’s current owners, the Glazers family.

Manchester United will be against Southampton at Old Trafford on Sunday. The match will be crucial from United’s point of view as they will try to bounce back in the Premier League after that Liverpool loss. Even if the Red Devils won the following game after the Liverpool loss against Real Betis in Europa League, this will be their chance to bounce back into the Premier League and remain in title contention. Winning the game against Southampton will be a perfect tribute from the club to Ian Stirling.

Manchester United will be up against 20th-placed Southampton in Match-week 27. A victory in Southampton will keep United’s title hopes alive and they will be 11 points behind table toppers Arsenal. Moreover, the three points will also cement the Red Devils’ 3rd position as they are now only 1 point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, but have 2 games in hand.
This will also be United’s last Premier League game before the international break. Ten Hag will be expecting full three points from the game and keep the momentum going.
