Manchester United Takeover: Premier League: Manchester United’s bidding war is getting in different direction and all story ends with the control percentage for the Glazer family that supposed to be questioned by fans and football pundits. Sir Jim Ratcliffe will demand full control of the transfers if his bid gets accepted. He is one of the two bidders to buy Manchester United and strong favourites to win the battle with Al Thani, the second bidder from Qatar. Follow Premier League 2022-23 LIVE updates with InsideSport.IN

The Ineos billionaire is facing a tough task with Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Glazer family are expecting a big amount for the club they owned for 18 years. Al Thani also wanted full control of the club but current owners still look for some share in the club.

As per the Telegraph, the current bid from Ratcliffe also includes a demand he is handed the recruitment reins. It depends on whether his bid gets approval from the Glazers siblings.

Both bidders are looking to get the maximum shares of the club and Al Thani wants to take 100% control of Man United. Fans are also accepting Al Thani’s move as they don’t want any share of the current owners in the club.

Man United club sale is supposed to get complete in the first quarter of 2023 but the Glazers family are adding more layers in the process. It is reported that the process will continue in the summer as well and even beyond.

Reports claim that current Man United owners want some control on the ownership until the deal gets finalised. It could be wider legal and logistical issues with such requests. Ratcliffe’s previous bid had some control of the Glazers and fans didn’t accept this.

The final bid was submitted on Friday and Ratcliffe believed to value the club higher than Al Thani. The Qatar bidder was favourites at one moment due to his clear vision. Now, Ratcliffe’s current bid has Joel and Avram as stakeholders in the club. These two brothers are fully involved in the running of the club. The last portion owned by various investment groups would also remain in place.

Gary Neville, former Man United legend, described the process as ‘shoddy’ last month.

He wrote on social media: ‘They’re making it up as they go along! Shoddy way to run a sale process. They need to get out by end of May to allow the new owner a fighting chance to impact the next transfer window and get moving!’

Neville added: ‘Taking it to a 3rd round (of bidding) is just classless. The market has obviously not given them the answer they want!’

‘It’s like they’ve made a pact to each other that they won’t go for less than £1bn each family member. (5 of them). If they stay in after all this it will be toxic!’

Protests were also seen at Old Trafford on the weekend during Man United’s Premier League game against Aston Villa. Fans are taking interest in the Glazer family’s involvement in the club ownership after the final bid.
