HS Prannoy lost the Malaysia Open quarterfinal last week. After finishing as runner-up at Swiss Open earlier this year and reaching the semifinal at Indonesia Open, Prannoy is looking to end his five-year title drought at BWF Tour.
He is however placed in a tough quarter that has World No.2 Kento Momota and Seventh seed Jonatan Christie against whom he lost in the quarterfinals at Malaysia Open. He will begin his campaign against France’s Brice Leverdez.
The other Indian men’s singles players in the tournament will be Sameer Verma and Sai Praneeth. Sai Praneeth finds himself in the first quarter and he will face Gautemala’s Kevin Cordon in the first round.
