Luis Enrique in POLE Position to become New PSG Manager

PSG are all set to replace their sacked manager Christophe Galtier. Reports in France suggest that former Barcelona and Spain manager Luis Enrique is in Pole Position to get the job.

PSG Manager: Luis Enrique is tipped to become the new manager of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The former Barcelona and Spanish manager is very close in joining the Parisian side as per reports from the French media. PSG are keen on signing the high profiled manager after talks with former Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann went down the drain.

Meanwhile the unrest at PSG continues. Lionel Messi left the club and former manager Christophe Galtier was sacked after failing to grab European success. On the other hand, PSG under the tutelage of Galtier went on to achieve their record 11th title win this season.

On the other hand, during the midseason, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich parted ways with Julian Nagelsmann and replaced him with Thomas Tuchel. While the young German manager was tipped to join either of Chelsea or Spurs in the English Premier League, talks fell through. Following which the Nagelsmann was contacted by PSG.

However, these talks too failed and Luis Enrique emerged as the best candidate to guide the PSG squad. On the other hand, Luis Enrique is now in pole position to get the PSG job.

After a successful 4 year stint with Barcelona, Luis Enrique switched trades to coach the Spanish National team in 2018. After a brief spell of 4 months he left the job citing personal reasons.

In 2019 he rejoined La Roja. But a few controversies didn’t leave his side when he selected the Euro 2020 squad. No Real Madrid players were selected and the manager was labeled to have an anti-madrid bias. He led his side to the semi finals of Euro where they lost to the eventual winners, Italy in penalties.

After a rather distasteful performance in the 2022 World Cup, he decided to step down from his job. Spain was knocked out from the World Cup by Morocco in the round of 16 via penalties.
