LSG vs SRH: Quinton de Kock – Kyle Mayers vs Quinton de Kock quandary is putting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul in massive jeopardy ahead of their clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With Mayers scoring two fifties in LSG’s games against Capitals and Super Kings, the West Indian batter has grabbed his chances in both hands. Meanwhile, De Kock is also in good form in T20Is, slamming a 43-ball century against West Indies. Will Rahul play both, or will he continue persisting with Mayers let’s find out. LSG vs SRH: If de Kock plays will Rahul drop all-rounder Marcus Stoinis

Speaking about de Kock, the wicketkeeper-batter was LSG’s second-highest run-scorer last year, scoring 447 runs in 15 games. The southpaw is an aggressive batter at the top and provides a left-hand option to LSG. Like Mayers, the wicketkeeper batter looks to dominate the bowlers. With Nicholas Pooran and Mark Wood performing well in LSG’s two matches, Rahul has the option to only drop Marcus Stoinis to accommodate De Kock at the top.

Stoinis scored only 12 and 21 against DC and CSK respectively and was also used sparingly as a bowler. Mayers can also bowl, which leaves Stoinis’s position in the playing XI in a spot of bother.

Will KL Rahul move down the order to accommodate De Kock at the top?

Meanwhile, Rahul has struggled to get going in both matches against DC and CSK. The skipper has scored only 8, 20 at an abysmal strike rate of below 120. De Kock’s T20 career strike rate is 135, and Mayers is breathing fire by currently striking at over 180. Rahul has the option to move down the order to fit in de Kock as an opening batter.

The Proteas. star has not batted often at number three, while Rahul has batted in that position.
All the pointers indicate that de Kock will play against SRH if he is available for selection. Mayers will retain the spot owing to his stellar form.
