LPL 2021: Lanka Premier League gets its 1st 100-meter plus six- Sri Lanka’s Avishka Fernando registered his name in history books by smashing the first-ever 100 metres six in the tournament. He achieved the landmark during the second over bowled by de Lange while playing for Kings vs Giants. The balls almost went on to sail over the stadium leaving everyone in awe. Avishka Fernando went on to score 33 runs off 27 balls which comprised three massive sixes and a boundary. His contributions guided Jaffna Kings to 8 wickets victory against Dambulla Giants.

The longest ever six ever hit in the T20 league is by South Africa’s Albie Morkel in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008.
