FSG has been the owner of the Merseyside club since 2010 when they bought the club from the previous owners, George Gillett Jr., and Tom Hicks. FSG in the meantime invested a lot in the club. which included the transformation of the club ground, Anfield. The project which costs around £80m will see an increase in seats and is expected to be complete next summer.
Last year FSG managed to sell 11% of the shares of the club for a whopping sum of $750m (£655m) to RedBird Capital Partners. Under the reign of the FSG, Liverpool reached sky-high success. They appointed Jurgen Klopp who helped the club win its first Premier League title after almost 3 decades. In the meantime, the club also won 2 Champions League titles along with other silverware including the likes of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
