Liverpool vs Chelsea: Liverpool and Chelsea will kick off their Premier League campaign this weekend. However, they are having a different battle off the ground and it’s happening in the transfer market. The bizarre transfer battle is going toward a ridiculous end. They are competing with each other by offering improved bids for Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo.
Caicedo has been a prime target for Chelsea for months and he is the first choice for Pochettino. They tried to get him on board by offering improved bids every time but Brighton turned down the offers. Meanwhile, Liverpool focused on Lavia from Southampton but the Championship club did the same by rejecting all bids.

The battle added drama when Chelsea tried to enter the race for Lavia who is already a target for Liverpool. The Reds came back stronger to make an approach for Caicedo. They have lodged an improved bid for the Brighton star. Now, we can not make a clear opinion on their intention. They are either making it a transfer war between two clubs or they are really trying to switch their targets.
Liverpool have also planned an Anfield move for Brighton star but Caicedo showed his desire on Chelsea. Brighton are clear on their stance and they want £100 million for the Ecuadorian. On the other hand, Southampton are demanding £50m for Lavia who is suddenly on the radar of Chelsea.

Chelsea’s highest bid for Caicedo is £80million and Liverpool are trying to hijack this deal by outbidding the Blues. The 21-year-old is interested to pick the West London club. When the Reds came to spoil the party for Chelsea so the Blues reportedly made a £48m offer for Southampton star Lavia. The Saints earlier rejected three bids from Liverpool.
The situation is different for both clubs. They tried to hit the bullets on the right mark but they are still missing out the asking price set by the current employer of these two players. Both teams look unprepared in the pursuit of their potential target. Brighton and Southampton keep their asking price high. It should be a tale of failure if none of them sell their players before the deadline day.
