IND vs WI Highlights, Day 3: West Indies have ended Day 3 at 229/5, still 209 runs behind India’s first innings total of 438. Captain Kraig Brathwaite led the way with a fine 75 before Kirk McKenzie (32) played a crucial knock to add 46-run stand. While Ravichandran Ashwin broke through Brathwaite’s gate to give India a breakthrough, Alick Athanaze (37) held fort with Jason Holder (11) in the rain-interrupted day. Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets while Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin scalping one each.

Day 3 Summary: West Indies began Day 3 at 86/1 with Kraigg Brathwaite & Kirk McKenzie on the crease. The two added 46 runs before Mukesh Kumar broke the stand, removing McKenzie.

Mukesh Kumar’s maiden wicket also brought in rain with the umpires forced to take early lunch. In the second session, Ravichandran Ashwin broke the Brathwaite-Jermaine Blackwood stand of 40 runs, cleaning up the West Indies Test captain.

Blackwood too departed off Ravindra Jadeja while Mohammed Siraj dismissed Joshua Da Silva with a peach of a delivery. At the end of day’s play, West Indies managed 229/5, still 209 runs behind India.
