Lewis Hamilton Movie Project: Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton has recently donned his creative hat for a very sought-after project. The seven-time world champion is actively working in an advisory role in the making of an F1-themed movie starring Brad Pitt. Top Gun: Maverik director Joseph Kosinski is the man behind this esteemed project announced early last year. More recently, news broke in that Pitt is all set to take the wheel of an F1 car at Silverstone during the British GP weekend. F1 insider a senior journalist Will Buxton in his recent interview claimed that this movie, which remains untitled, will be the closer to reality motorsports film ever made. For these reasons, the movie even though long ahead of its release has created a lot of intrigue and buzz amongst the F1 juggernaut. Moreover, movie royalty Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski have certainly made sure they have the most professionally superior bunch around for this project. Biggest example of the same is taking Sir Lewis Hamilton on-board.
The British driver apart from being the greatest ever to don a racing helmet, is also one of the most experienced guys on the grid. The Mercedes driver has now seen over 315 race starts and multiple eras in Formula 1 racing. He is well versed will the most intrinsic nuances of the life on and off the track.

With Brad Pitt ahead of the camera and Lewis Hamilton in the periphery, it is not a long shot to expect a great piece of cinema. In a recent interview reported by RacingNews365, Hamilton opened up about his role in the project and his expectations with the film. In addition to it, the Briton also told the press about his consulting role where he oversees the intricacies of the script. The F1 legend is putting in hours to make sure they are as authentic and closer to reality as possible.
“I don’t know absolutely every single plan of all the different things we can be doing within [the] paddock and all those sorts of things. I’m more focused right now on making sure the script is where it needs to be; that’s where all the time currently is, going through the scripts. It’s [about] making sure we’ve got a really great and diverse cast,” said Hamilton.
“But that’s kind of Joe’s focus, which is to make sure that we’re as embedded into this sport as possible. For me, it’s to make sure that it’s authentic and that all of you and racing fans see its authenticity and say, ‘This is believable,'” added the 103 Grand Prix winner.
