Toto Wolff confident of Lewis Hamilton extending contract

Mercedes team principal Totto Wolff is confident about Lewis Hamilton agreeing on fresh contract and extending his stay with the Britain based F1 team. The Mercedes F1 Team boss during the car launch said that getting the new contract done will come down to slotting in enough time around the other priorities, the team and Hamilton for the upcoming season.

Wolff said, “I think as I said before, we’ve done a few of these contracts in the past and they change little from iteration to iteration, so it’s not usually complex – apart from the obvious terms. We’ve had a first chat, but I don’t want to commit to any timeline, because it’s not important for him nor for us at that stage. It runs a full year and we’re going to find the right time.”
