Barcelona have won La Liga after 4 long years of waiting and their celebration knows no bounds. They went 14 points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. This was after they lost against Real Sociedad earlier this month. With a huge 14-point gap, Barcelona can lose all of their remaining games, they will still remain at the top of the table. Hence, they have been named La Liga 2022-23 Champions. They won their latest away game 2-4 against their local rivals Espanyol and won the league with the result.

Espanyol are 19th in the league table and there still remains a high chance that they will be relegated this season. After winning the match, Barcelona’s celebration started on the pitch. However, this did not sit well with the Espanyol fans as they ran to invade the pitch. Barcelona players quickly ran to the dressing room. Even so, they were chased into the tunnel by the fans. Thankfully, security intervened and no one was injured in the chaos. While Barcelona players continued their celebrations inside the dressing room.

As per renowned Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, PSG players and former Barcelona players Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr joined the celebrating team on a video link. Apparently, the duo spoke to many players who helped Barcelona win La Liga this season. The duo has won two La Liga titles together at Barcelona including a season when they won the treble. Now they play together at PSG. However, it seems that both Leo Messi and Neymar have remained on good terms with their old teammates and new Barcelona players.

Barcelona’s wild celebration after winning the league continued inside the dressing room after Espanyol fans invaded the pitch. Coaches, club officials, and other staff were involved in the celebrations. Players took the celebration to their social media as well. Barcelona’s key defender this season Ronald Araujo took to Instagram to start a live broadcast of their celebration. Leo Messi decided to join in the fun through that broadcast as Araujo was heard saying in the video, “Who’s there? Messi?”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang might not have been present for the team physically or in a similar virtual manner as Messi and Neymar. However, he has shown his support through a like. After sealing their fate as the La Liga winner, Barcelona posted a picture as the 2022-23 La Liga Champions on social media. Current Chelsea striker Aubameyang liked this post. There are strong rumours that after an unsuccessful season at Chelsea, Aubameyang could come back to Barcelona this transfer window.
