When it comes to competing in India, the Pakistan players, like others, need to get their visa first. That is expected to be a major roadblock for the Pakistan players, who have signed up for the league.

Though the league has nothing to do with the tournament, a report in IANS has quoted BCCI officials suggesting, it looks difficult. First season did not prove to be a problem as the competition was played in Muscat.

“I can’t say much. If Pakistani cricketers get a visa from our government, then they will play if not then no. We (BCCI) have no role in the tournament or visa things,” the official said.

One of the other BCCI officials made it even more clear. He is of the opinion that since there is cricket ties with Pakistan, they will not get their visa.

It is important to mention that the BCCI has a strong stance on the same matter. They do not allow Pakistan players even in their cash-rich league. When it comes to international tournaments, they are not involved in bilateral ties.

They only play against Pakistan in ICC and ACC events. Interestingly, India and Pakistan can meet three times in the upcoming Asia Cup in UAE, starting later this month.
