League of Legends Wild Rift Patch 3.1: Bad news for low-spec iPhones and iPads
Starting in Patch 3.1, Wild Rift will no longer support the following devices:
- Apple iPhone 6
- Apple iPhone 6 Plus
- Apple iPad Air (1st Gen)
- Apple iPad Mini 2
- Apple iPad Mini 3
As devices get more powerful every year, we periodically take a look at the dev requirements of supporting certain hardware specs. The devices above cause significant extra work for our teams to support, and this work has become increasingly difficult with each patch.

If you continue to use one of these models in Patch 3.1 and beyond, you will likely see crashes, black screens, or other technical issues, so we recommend playing on a more powerful device to improve your experience. We’ll see you on the Rift again soon! Additionally, as of iOS 15, Apple is no longer supporting these iPhone and iPad models with software updates.
