If you think, this is the first time we saw Kyle Walker involved in this then you are wrong. The Man City defender was accused of breaching lockdown during the early stages of COVID-19. He was said to have held a party at his home when it was not allowed.
Man City boss picked the English international in his squad for the Premier League game against the Eagles. He admitted the full-back can count on his support after a week in the spotlight.
During the press conference, Pep Guardiola said, “We have to adapt to the reality. Everybody knows it, and today they are exposed 24 hours for everything. Private life doesn’t exist any more out of their home.”

Guardiola was asked whether he had called the 32-year-old in to remind him of his responsibilities. He added, “I spoke with him, but we’re adults. I’m not a father. I’m a friend of him. I know in the past many things happen. He and everyone can count on me with the personal issues.”
“I don’t have to tell him that you don’t have to behave in that way. He’s an adult. The club is there all the time. I like to feel they can count on us in the good and bad moments.”
Guardiola stressed: “Everybody knows that the only place I think is safe is inside at home, lock the door. The moment you unlock the door, you are exposed. He added more, “Today it’s completely different to 15, 20 years ago. Now you have to adapt, the players know it.”
The Man City full-back could line up on Saturday after a week in which allegations about his behaviour came to light in the media. Manchester City need to focus on their games in the title race. They are 5 points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table.
