The auction for the second edition of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 has come to an end. It was successfully organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association and took place at the prestigious M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on July 22. Abhinav Manohar became the costliest buy among 700 players who went under the hammer at the auction.
The last season saw four teams take part in the event, with the Gulbarga Mystics emerging as champions, the Bengaluru Blasters being runners-up, and the Mysuru Warriors and the Hubli Tigers finishing third and fourth, respectively. However, the number of teams participating has increased from four to six this year, with the Mangaluru Dragons and Shivamogga Lions joining the event.
What were the Rules of the KSCA T20 2023 Auction?
Each of those franchises were given a purse of Rs 50 lakh, and they had to purchase a minimum of 16 players and a maximum of 18. Ther players were divided into a total of four categories
Category A: India and IPL Players
Category B: Players who have participated in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ranji Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
Category C: Players from all other BCCI tournaments
Category D: All registered players of KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association)

KSCA T20 2023 will run from August 14 to 30.
