Kohli Rohit Rift Reports – Sunil Gavaskar Upset: It is being widely reported over in almost all sections of media in the last few days that things are not too well between Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma. Gavaskar is of the view that till the time both players come in open with something – no one should jump to the conclusions.
“Till then, I will give the benefit of the doubt to both the players. Because both have served Indian cricket brilliantly and I don’t think it is fair at all for any one of us, without having exact information, to be pointing fingers at either of them,” he added.
On Tuesday, Azharuddin’s tweet had fuel to the fire by questioning Virat Kohli’s decision to pull out of the ODI series.
“Virat Kohli has informed that he’s not available for the ODI series & Rohit Sharma is unavailable fr d upcoming test. There is no harm in taking a break but d timing has to be better. This just substantiates speculation abt d rift. Neither will be giving up d other form of cricket,” Azhar tweeted.

The rumours of a rift between the two cricket icons began after BCCI removed Kohli as the ODI skipper and Rohit Sharma was handed the duty. While Rohit Sharma suffered a hamstring injury and was ruled out of the Virat Kohli-led Test series, speculations were rife that Kohli will miss the ODI series. Both the BCCI and Kohli have remained tight-lipped on the development.
The two players are yet to play with each other after Kohli bid adieu to T20I captaincy after T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were rested for the T20 and Test series against New Zealand at home respectively.
