Kohli Adelaide Records: IND vs ENG LIVE: Virat Kohli’s legend at the Adelaide Oval continues to grow as the former India captain smashed a fine half-century on Thursday. The Indian run-scoring machine started 73 runs adrift of his personal record for most runs accumulated in a single edition of the T20 World Cup and remains 23 adrift after his 50. Kohli will have a chance to better his record, should India reach the final. Follow IND vs ENG LIVE & ICC T20 World Cup 2022 LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.
The former India captain had accumulated 319 runs in the 2014 edition of the marquee event. He had registered four half-centuries in six matches to become the most runs scorer in that edition with a phenomenal average of 83.92. Much like the 2014 edition, Kohli is the leading run scorer in 2022, with 296runs after the Super 12 stage. And adding 23 more runs to his tally will better his previous record of most runs accumulated in a single edition of the T20 World Cup.
