Adding to the injury list, middle order batter Shreyas Iyer who had a surgery on his back is also a major doubtful for the Asia Cup.
Both the players missed out a chunk of the IPL 2023. While Iyer missed the entire of the tournament, Rahul picked up his injury in an IPL and have been sidelined since then. Both the players have undergone their respective surgeries and are facing a race against time to be 100& fit and match ready for the Asia Cup.
