KKR playing XI vs RCB: Kolkata Knight Riders to choose between Tim Southee or Lockie Ferguson- Follow LIVE updates

With No Pat Cummins in squad, KKR need to take 2 big decisions before they select their playing XI in regard to foreign players. Eoin Morgan & Andre Russell are surely in XI – but same can’t be said about two other foreigners in the squad.

KKR playing XI vs RCB: Sunil Narine or Shakib Al Hasan?

Decision 1 – KKR vs RCB LIVE: It will be interesting to see if Shakib Al Hasan gets a chance ahead of Sunil Narine. He is coming on the back of terrific form for Bangaladesh in the recently concluded series against Australia and New Zealand. Overall, he took 11 wickets in 9 matches. Unlike Narine, Shakib Al Hasan can score more with the bat. However, Narine also took 12 wickets in 10 matches.

KKR playing XI vs RCB: Tim Southee or Lockie Ferguson?

Decision 1 – KKR vs RCB LIVE: Lockie Ferguson will be finally looking to return to action with the IPL 2021 Phase 2. He had missed out on playing XI despite taking 6 wickets in 5 matches last IPL.

Tim Southee could also make his presence in the playing XI. He has an upper hand against RCB captain Virat Kohli after dismissing him for a record 10 times across all formats. Thus, KKR team management might use him ahead of Ferguson. It will be interesting to see which New Zealander gets a chance in the playing XI.

In absence of Pat Cummins, Tim Southee could emerge as the leader of the pace bowling department for KKR.

KKR vs RCB in IPL 2021: Eoin Morgan’s job on the line, can KKR change fortunes against Virat Kohli’s RCB?

Will Kuldeep Yadav get a look in? Another interesting debate would be Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep recently has been vocal about lack of communication from KKR team management about his role in the team may get considered – if Morgan decides to play 1 pacer less – but that looks unlikely.
