why UFC 278 BIG Batter b/w Usman vs Edwards 2 is the BIGGEST ever in UFC History: The much awaited Welterweight rematch that might also be the toughest test for Kamaru Usman.

Both men faced each other 7 years back and since then Usman is on a 13 fight win streak and Edwards is undefeated in his last 9 bouts.

The fight this time would be for the Welterweight Gold and unlike last time both Usman and Edwards have tons of experience on their side

However, there is so much more at stake than just the UFC Gold which actually makes this fight and rivalry so huge and remarkable.

Usman is on the verge of writing his name in history. He is currently on 15 fight win streak and if he manages to beat Leon, he would join Anderson Silva for the most consecutive UFC victories.

Although Leon on the other hand has the opportunity to not only prove himself as an apex fighter but get revenge after 7 years.

This will be the first time in UFC history when two fighters with an unbeaten streak of 10 and more fights would go against each other and that too for the belt.

Khabib vs Tony could have been the first but never happened. Islam vs Oliveira would become the second fight to achieve this feat at UFC 280 after this.

Leon Edwards is genuine threat to Usman because he got more technical striking than any of Usman’s previous opponent and he has worked a lot on his ground game. He has even proved himself time after time that he can go against the best wrestlers and grapplers.

Another thing that should be in consideration is the fact that Usman is coming from a very recent hand surgery and nobody knows how would that affect him.

Although, Usman is pretty confident about retaining his title and pound for pound Champion status.

The fight like their previous encounter won’t be an one sided affair. Both fighters would be ready to enter a war and we might get to witness out fight of the year.
