Bengal Warriorz

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), modeled after the Indian Premier League, began in 2014 with eight franchises. Bengal Warriors, a Kolkata-based team owned by Future Group, had a slow start, struggling in the first two seasons. However, their performance improved from 2016 onwards, consistently reaching the playoffs in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2019, they made their first final appearance, overcoming an early deficit to defeat Dabang Delhi 39-34, despite losing their captain Maninder Singh to injury, and clinched their first PKL title.
