Jones, 35, holds wins over a who’s who of MMA legends, suggested once that he had little interest in a fight with rising Russian heavyweight star Sergei Pavlovich. Jones did note if  Ngannou returns to UFC, it “would be worth entertaining not retiring” to take on challenge.  Jones, has reigned as UFC heavyweight champion for over 11 years across two separate stints. Now with a legacy forever cemented as the GOAT, Jones is ready to step away from the dangers of professional fighting.

Although the UFC has hosted events at Madison Square Garden in November for the past two years, there has been no official announcement from the promotion regarding a show at the iconic venue this year. Meanwhile, Jon Jones is widely regarded as one of the most formidable fighters in the history of mixed martial arts, boasting an impressive record of 27 wins, one loss, and one no-contest in his 29 career matches. The sole blemish on his record came as a result of disqualification due to illegal elbows in a fight against Matt Hamill, even though Jones was dominating the fight until that point.

While Jones’ retirement will leave a hole in the UFC ranks and roster, his place in MMA history is secure. The news of his final fight has sent ripples through the MMA world, with fellow fighters, analysts, and fans celebrating his unprecedented career and preparing to witness history one more time.  Follow InsideSport on GOOGLE NEWS /  For UFC News updates with InsideSport.IN
