John Cena Returns
The 16-time World Champion John Cena made a surprise appearance during WWE Money in the Bank 2023.
Cena came out and stated that he was at MITB out of respect. He then mentioned that he is trying to bring WrestleMania to London. He was then interrupted by Grayson Waller. Waller walked out and offered to help Cena. Cena declined and Waller attacked Cena. However, Cena nailed an Attitude Adjustment on him, thus taking him out.
Drew McIntyre Returns
Apart from John Cena, Drew McIntyre also made a surprise appearance during Money in the Bank 2023.
Following the match between Gunther and Matt Riddle where Gunther retained the Intercontinental Championship against Riddle, Drew McIntyre’s theme played. The WWE Superstar then came out and joined Gunther inside the ring.
McIntyre and Gunther had a staredown after which, McIntyre nailed the Glasgow Kiss and Claymore kick on Gunther. Following that, McIntyre posed with the Intercontinental Championship before leaving.
