John Cena will soon fight his last match
Tonight, John Cena made a triumphant return to SmackDown, reminiscent of the old-school era. He took a moment to address the camera, sincerely thanking the passionate WWE Universe for their unwavering support over the years. Cena didn’t just deliver words; he got physical during his segment.
When Jimmy Uso interrupted him and attempted a superkick, Cena responded with a resounding Attitude Adjustment. Later, in a WWE Exclusive interview with Cathy Kelly, Cena reflected on his return and revealed that his final match is approaching.
He stated, “Every single chance I get to go out there becomes more and more special. There is no denying the fact that I’m 46 and staring down 47. I’ve been here for over two decades. As I said out there in the ring, the last one is not tonight, but I know it’s soon. To speak candidly, when you’re involved in this every day in a full-time capacity, you just think about what’s next.”
He added, “The WWE Universe being gracious to invite me and allow me back to be part of this family, for the last two or three years, I’ve been able to focus on what’s now. I never miss any of those wonderful moments in the ring.”
John Cena, despite being past his 40s, continues to display remarkable grit and determination in the ring. However, he’s also practical enough to recognize that he’s spent over two decades in WWE, a career that brought him fame and riches and served as a launching pad for his Hollywood ventures.
As he approaches the end of his WWE career, he plans to shift his focus to Hollywood. While this transition is exciting for his Hollywood endeavors, it’s undoubtedly a bitter pill for his devoted WWE fans to swallow. The prospect of saying goodbye to a wrestling legend like Cena is a tough one for them to accept.
