John Cena admitted after making his WWE comeback on Friday’s episode of Raw, just ahead of making his return to India for Superstar Spectacle Tour on 8th September 2023 that he probably doesn’t have much time left in his WWE career.
In a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley, Cena admitted that he is aware that his final match with the WWE will be “soon.”

John Cena acknowledges the fact that he has been aging, he has been in WWE for almost two decades now, and he will soon be appearing for his last fight. Though, not just right now.
Due to his status as a budding Hollywood celebrity, Cena, who shares the record for the most major world title reigns in pro wrestling history with Ric Flair (16), has only made infrequent appearances for WWE in recent years.
Cena is back in the WWE for at least the next two months despite the SAG-AFTRA strike, as eight SmackDown appearances are listed for him until October 28.
On Friday’s SmackDown, Jimmy Uso confronted Cena after he had delivered a promo, and Cena dealt with him by giving him an Attitude Adjustment.
The rivalries and contests Cena will be a part of during his current tenure with the organisation may be put in motion by his announcement that he will serve as host of Saturday night’s WWE Payback premium live event in Pittsburgh.
At WrestleMania 39 in April, he lost to Austin Theory in his most recent bout. After that, he began a feud with Grayson Waller after Waller cut him off during a promo.
While Roman Reigns has replaced Cena as the undisputed face of WWE, Cena still commands enormous attention anytime he appears on WWE TV.
As Cena noted, there might not be many more opportunities for him to have lengthy runs with WWE because he is getting older and frequently has a tonne of other outside ventures.
