Joe Rogan claims Islam Makhachev loss at UFC 284
Although Rogan wasn’t in Australia to call the bout, he was there to host a podcast called the Joe Rogan Experience Fight Companion. Volkanovski defeated Makhachev in the last seconds of the fifth round, and Rogan and his companions proclaimed Alexander “The Great” the winner.

Until Buffer revealed the winner, Joe Rogan’s gaze was glued to the screen. Rogan started to look away as soon as Buffer added, “And still…”. He repeatedly murmured nothing but “Oh My God,” with a perplexed look. Like many others, the Joe Rogan Experience presenter was obviously startled by the outcome of this battle.
After his initial amazement subsided, Rogan shared his opinions regarding the winner. He declared, “In my opinion, Volkanovski won 3-2. It’s ridiculous one of those scorecards… Hey, bro, Islam Makhachev lost that battle.” Even Joe Rogan was perplexed by the contentious judgment rendered by the UFC 284 judges.

UFC 284: Islam Makhachev defeats Alexander Volkanovski via Unanimous decision
Makhachev completed the first defense of his undisputed lightweight championship by defeating featherweight champion Volkanovski in a contentious unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) fight that lasted the whole allotted 25 minutes in the Octagon.
