Updates On UFC 295 Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira

‘Denisa,’ who hasn’t competed since defeating Glover Teixeira in their Fight of the Year match at UFC 275 in June of last year, will make his comeback in this fight. He was then scheduled to defend the championship against the Brazilian in a rematch in December 2022, but he had to give up the title due to a serious shoulder injury.

Pereira made his light heavyweight debut by barely defeating Jan Blachowicz via split decision, earning the master of kickboxing a crack at the title. After winning and losing the middleweight championship against Israel Adesanya in his only seven UFC appearances, the 36-year-old is now getting ready for his third title defense.

In an MMArcade Podcast episode, Robert Whittaker recently shared his thoughts on the exciting bout between Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira, which takes place next weekend.

While ‘The Reaper’ acknowledges Pereira as one of the best strikers in the UFC, he says Jiri Prochazka has repeatedly shown that he is willing and wants to win.

“Jiri has the uncanny ability to find the win in these fights. In these harder fights, he looks to be outclassed but he finds the wins….Jiri has got such unorthodox striking and can see kill shots that he goes for instinctually. I’m very curious to see how this fight plays out.”
