“Yes, he is recovering well. He will be back for Australia series. He will report back to NCA later this month. Once the medical team assess his condition, the selectors will take a call on whether he will feature in the series against Sri Lanka next month. For now, his prognosis is good,” a BCCI official told InsideSport.IN

Jasprit Bumrah was rushed to return ahead of the T20 World Cup. As a result, Team India paid a hefty price and he was subsequently out for a long period.
Since then, Bumrah has continued his rehabilitation and begun light training. The 28-year-old shared a video of him doing lunges and exercises as he works his way through to full fitness.
Bumrah had spent time at the NCA before the back issue reappeared. He nonetheless will report ahead of a full return next month.
As things stand, the 28-year-old is yet to begin bowling in the nets and will only do so into the new year. India will take a cautious approach, given his persistent back issue. It is the same injury that ruled him out for 7 months in 2018-19.
