“This is my African brother right here, let’s go n*gga, what’s up b*tch?”

To hype their match in Sydney in nine weeks, Adesanya and the “Still Knocks” engaged in a cage fight.
But when Nigerian-born New Zealander Adesanya repeatedly referred to Du Plessis as a “n***a” in reaction to Du Plessis claiming to be the UFC’s “real African fighter” back in March, things took a nasty turn.
The City Kickboxing champion added, “Relax, this is my African brother,” after being separated by security.

Chael Sonnen in his episode mentioned a quote on Izzy, that his father used to have, he said that he wants to put Izzy and Aldo in the same category “ have stayed true to themselves and staying true to yourself is a very good way to stay in the position that you’re in . which if you are on top is the hardest position to stay in. But being true to yourself is extremely difficult because you don’t know what it is in the first place.”

Du Plessis and Adesanya got into a fight when the latter referred to himself as the UFC’s “real African fighter” and said that the belts won by Adesanya, Francis Ngannou, and Kamaru Usman didn’t return to Africa.
Du Plessis’ remarks infuriated 33-year-old Adesanya, who reacted angrily, saying: “As a product of colonisation, you’re trying to tell me who the f**k I am.
Dana White, the president of the UFC, couldn’t care less about Adesanya’s ludicrous outburst, which received either criticism or just plain confusion from fight fans. When questioned about repeatedly using the N-word to refer to Du Plessis during the pay-per-view, White responded:
“He’s black. Who gives a sh*t? I could care less, This is the fight business.” Israel Adesanya is free to express himself however he wants.”
