Israel Adesanya makes racial comments against fellow UFC fighter

UFC Middleweight fighter Dricus Du Plessis declared he would be the first fighter to “take a belt to Africa” in a stunning outburst last month directed at the New Zealand-based champion and Cameroon’s Francis Ngannou and American Kamaru Usman, who was born in Nigeria. He said, “Are those belts still in Africa? They traveled to America and New Zealand, as far as I know. Regarding the titles the trio had earned, he declared, “I’m taking a belt to Africa.”

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Israel Adesanya stated on his YouTube channel that he had already approached the UFC about taking on the unbeaten South African. Still, Rob Whittaker of Australia will face Du Plessis in July for the No. 1 contender spot. Adesanya declared, “I’m going to f***ing take him to school, in the Octagon, and on history.”

“What he is doing is dividing people.” I have never questioned him about being an African because you were born in Africa, so you can’t possibly know your past. Southern Africa. You are an African, of course. Never once have I questioned that. To tell me who I am, though, who the f**k is this nut? Who the f**k is Ngannou? Who the f**k is Kamaru? I ask, “Are you stupid?”
