With 46 points from 20 games, Mumbai City FC finished first in the group and won the ISL League Winners’ Shield. Hyderbad FC, on the other hand, ended four points behind the Islanders. Bengaluru FC controversially made it through to the Indian Super League playoffs. Bengaluru FC took the lead in the seventh minute of extra time thanks to a contentious goal by Sunil Chhetri. The way it was scored didn’t sit well with Kerala Blasters. Ivan Vukomanvoic and company left the field due to dissatisfaction. After they waited for the remainder of the game, the Bengaluru FC players were granted the match.
