Pulling Out Of Conor McGregor’s TIDL Sports Deal After Drama At NBA Finals
Following a mascot incident last month, Conor McGregor may lose a significant sponsorship deal.
During a stunt at an NBA game, The Notorious punched Burnie, the mascot of the Miami Heat basketball team. The man wearing the mascot suit needed hospital care as a result. At the game in Florida, a lady also accused McGregor of sexual assault, which the UFC fighter vehemently denied.
The claims were described as “no more than a shakedown” by a lawyer for McGregor.
According to reports from the United States, McGregor’s Tidl Sports spray brand was to be named the Miami Heat’s “official pain relief partner,” and players would wear a Tidl Sports patch on their shirts as part of the agreement.

Many people assumed Conor was only there as a publicity stunt. It turns out, though, that it might have been a component of a deal that Tidl Sports would sponsor shirts for the NBA season of 2023–24.
Unfortunately, given everything that happened, it doesn’t seem likely that will happen.
For many fight fans, watching Conor McGregor compete is enough. Despite the fact that no formal accusations have been brought against him as of this writing, some wish to see him fail. The Tidl brand and Conor, in general, would have benefited from a relationship with the Miami Heat. But as the study points out, everything seems to have gotten out of hand.
