Is it Mission Impossible to Book tickets for ODI World Cup 2023? BookMyShow reveals why

ODI World Cup 2023 tickets were available on September 8. However, as usual fans did not have a pleasant experience on BookMyShow.

Another day, but there was no respite for fans during the second phase of booking for the ODI World Cup 2023 ticket sales. Yesterday, like the fans have been doing, they logged in at the BookMyShow at 8 PM, but there was heartbreak in store for the majority of fans as they failed to get hold of tickets. Taking to Twitter yet again, BookMyShow explained the procedure to book tickets.

“Hey there! The demand for World Cup tickets is much higher than the limited supply available. With a huge number of users trying to book, the wait time in the queue is bound to be high. Quick Tips:- Sign into your account beforehand. Do not exit, refresh, or kill the application while you are in the queue, else you would need to start all over again.” –KR.

Despite the protocol mentioned by BookMyShow, fans still could find it helpful as they could not get tickets. One of the users commented on BookMyShow stating, “I waited till 84 minutes and then redirected to Sold Out page.” Another one commented, “I am surprised that BCCI really thought to keep people waiting for 90 minutes staring at the screen to get their turn. Finally, get a message that tickets are sold. This is the worst way of selling the tickets btw.

Earlier, due to huge demand for the tickets, fans were left empty-handed. But then the BCCI decided to release 400,000 fresh tickets so that fans could get their hands on them.

“After discussions with the hosting state associations, the BCCI has announced the release of approximately 400,000 tickets for the highly anticipated tournament. This measure is aimed at accommodating as many passionate cricket fans as possible, ensuring their participation in this historic event,” the BCCI said in a media statement.

But with all that being said, the ticket fiasco continues as a major portion of the fans continue to wait long hours in the queue, waiting for their turn, only to find that the tickets have been sold out.
