Punk successfully defended his AEW Real World’s Championship against Samoa Joe in an intriguing contest. That said, AEW set a world record for most paid attendance ever in a pro-wrestling event.

More than 81,000 people accumulated at the Wembley Arena in London, as AEW saw one of its most successful events of all time. However, not everything went well for the promotion.

Tony Khan has claimed that the entire brawl between CM Punk and Jack Perry is under investigation. Meanwhile, both the wrestlers are reportedly suspended till the investigation is over. It means AEW All Out Pay-Per-View will go on without CM Punk and Jack Perry.

What Exactly Happened Between CM Punk and Jack Perry?

It is still unclear how the altercation began between the two elite superstars. However, pro-wrestling reporter Nick Hausman shared some insights from that night.

Per his claims, CM Punk and Jack Perry came across each other before the former’s fight against Samoa Joe went live on air.

“Punk was waiting in the Gorilla position,” reported Hausman.

Meanwhile, he accused CM Punk of beginning the verbal exchange that quickly escalated into a verbal confrontation.

Hausman further said, “The conversation quickly escalated, leading to Perry asking Punk to ‘do something about it. This is when Punk shoved Perry, Perry responded by shoving Punk back, and then Punk put him in what is being described as a chokehold.”

“We’re told Punk viewed putting Perry in a chokehold as a way to neutralize the situation, as he’s a trained fighter and does not want to have to fight Perry. No punches were thrown, as far as we know.”

After the official investigation unfolds, fans can get a clearer picture of what went down between CM Punk and Jack Perry at AEW” All In London.
