IPL Media Rights Tender – IPL Media Rights Auction: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has roped in Mjunction for the IPL Media Rights e-auction that will begin on June 12. The joint venture between Tata Steel and Steel Authority of Indian Limited (SAIL) has already conducted e-auction in the past for BCCI Media rights. IPL Media Rights e-Auction Schedule:
June 12:
- Bundle A – Indian Sub Continent Broadcast: Base price in this category is Rs 49 crore per game. Overall 74 Games base price would be Rs 18,130 crore for five years.
- Bundle B – Digital rights Indian Sub-Continent: Base price for this package is Rs 33 crore per game. For five years, the calculation is Rs 12,210 crore.
June 13:
- Bundle C: Non-Exclusive Package (DIGITAL): The much-debated special package is in Bundle C which comprises 18 games and the reserve price in this cluster is Rs 16 crore per game. At 74 games per season and calculated for five years, the price of this bundle is Rs 1440 crore. 18 Games in this package will be – Opening Match, 4 Playoff matches & 13 Evening Double Header matches
- Bundle D: Rest of the World Rights (Outside Sub-Continent): Base price for this package is Rs 3 crore per game. The combined value of the reserve price is Rs 1110. crore for five years.

The last time BCCI sold the IPL Media rights, it received over Rs 16,000 Crore. This time, the BCCI expects double that amount.
While BCCI has sold its media rights through e-Auction earlier, this is the first time that highly-anticipated IPL Media Rights will be e-auctioned.
The Indian board has set a base price of Rs 18,130 crore for five years for 74 games an edition.
With interest from over a dozen parties, the BCCI had to extend the deadline from May 10 to 20. Apart from domestic players like Star, Sony, Zee and Reliance, trillion-dollar tech giants such as Amazon, Apple and Google have picked up bid documents.

IPL Tender Date Extended: “Pursuant to requests from various interested parties, BCCI has now decided to further extend the date for purchasing the ITT documents till May 20, 2022” informed the BCCI.
