IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have signed New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell as a replacement for England batter Will Jacks for the Indian Premier League 2023. Will Jacks is ruled out of IPL 2023 due to an injury. Given the uncertainty surrounding Glenn Maxwell’s condition following his freak injury, Jacks was anticipated to play a significant role.
Jacks, who was injured and had to withdraw from the competition, cost the franchise INR 3.2 Crore.

Bracewell, who will take his position, has appeared in 16 T20Is, scored 113 runs, and taken 21 wickets. He’ll sign on with RCB for his base price of INR 1 crore.
Given that Jacks was intended to provide coverage for Glen Maxwell, it was a serious problem for Virat Kohli’s team. Maxwell is essential to the RCB side’s balance, but he is also making his comeback after a lengthy absence.
He will play in the ODI series between India and Australia when his physical condition will be tested.
The stats of Michael Bracewell
With his powerful hitting, Bracewell stood out during New Zealand’s tour of India in January.
The Left hander was Kiwi’s best run-getter in ODIs, scoring at a stunning 144.62. He nearly single-handedly carried the visitors beyond the finish line in Hyderabad with his 30 goals in 3 innings.
For Rs 1 crore, Bracewell had put himself up for auction, but he was not purchased. According to New Zealand Cricket’s plans for their IPL stars, he is also expected to be available for the entire season.
