Punjab Kings (PBKS) posted a video that shows Sam Curran reaching Chandigarh before the team’s first match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 1st April. Curran made the headlines during the IPL 2023 auction after he was bought for INR 18.50 crore, making him the most expensive pick in IPL history.
In the 3 seasons Curran has played, he has managed to score 337 runs at an average of 22.46 but has a healthy strike rate of 149.77. Curran’s record with the ball isn’t that great in the IPL but his performance in the 2022 T20 World Cup made him a go-to option for every franchise. Curran was awarded man of the match as well as man of the tournament award after England won the final against Pakistan.
Mumbai Indians welcome Cameron Green and their captain Rohit Sharma
All rounder Cam Green has joined the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad ahead of their clash versus RCB in the 5th match of the tournament on 2nd April. Green was picked up by MI for a whooping INR 17.50 crore, making him the 2nd most expensive pick after Sam Curran in IPL history.
This is Green debut season and even though he is playing as an all-rounder, he will only bowl in matches after the 17th of April as he isn’t deemed fit to bowl until them Cricket Australia (CA)
Captain and 5 time champion Rohit Sharma also joins his side before their clash. The local boy has joined the Mumbai camp after his first ODI series defeat as an Indian captain to Australia on 22th March. The series was tied 1-1 before the last ODI, which Australia clinched by 21 runs.
