IPL 2023: Kane Williamson gives a fitting reply to Titans by scoring a double century against Pakistan
Kane Williamson brought out his best against Pakistan as he slammed his fifth double century on Day 4 of the 1st Test at the National Stadium, Karachi. Earlier, the senior Kiwi batter ended his century drought in international cricket after 722 days. It was a typical Williamson inning that had both balance and resilience. With the help of Williamson’s double century, the visitors crossed the 600-run mark in their first innings.
Titans head coach Ashish Nehra was pleased to bag Williamson for 2 crores. The former India pacer further opined that the Kiwi will bat at number three for Titans in IPL 2023. “Somebody like Kane Williamson, you are looking at batting at No. 3,” said Nehra.
“He (Williamson )will bring in so much experience. He is a proven player, didn’t have a couple of good IPL seasons, but IPL is so fast-paced that it takes very little time for thinking and perception to change. For us, if he would have gone for much more, we would have still gone for Kane Williamson, Nehra said.
