IPL 2023: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have announced Arpit Guleria as a like-for-like replacement for injured fast bowler Mayank Yadav ahead of their clash against Punjab Kings. LSG have won three of their four games and are currently placed at the second position in the points table. They face PBKS today at their home ground Ekana Cricket Stadium. LSG won their last match in a last over thriller against RCB while chasing 212 with Nicholas Pooran (62 off 19) starring with the bat.  PBKS on the other hand, won their first 2 matches but lost the next two matches and are still waiting for the return of injured Liam Livingstone. Guleria hails from Himachal Pradesh region and is a right-arm fast bowler. He has been added to the LSG squad for the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2023 season. However, the statement made by IPL does not clarify the reason behind Mayank Yadav’s injury or how it occurred. Guleria will be paid Rs 20 Lakh for joining the reputed IPL team.

Arpit Guleria made his First-class cricket debut for Himachal Pradesh in 2018 against Hyderabad. Although he made his debut for Himachal Pradesh, he currently plays for Services. His List-A debut was a year later in 2019 against Maharashtra representing Himachal. Guleria last played in January in a FC match against Rajasthan in Jodhpur.

In his short career, he has played 15 first-class matches and 12 List A games, taking 44 at an average of 32 and 11 wickets at an average of 50 respectively.
