IPL 2023 Auction Live: Purse remaining for PBKS, SRH, MI, and LSG – Sunrisers had the largest purse (INR 42.25 crore) for the auction, followed by Kings (INR 32.20 crore), Lucknow Super Giant (INR 23.35 crore), Mumbai Indians (INR 20.55 crore), Chennai Super Kings (INR 20.45 crore), Delhi Capitals (INR 19.45 crore), Gujarat Titans (INR 19.25 crore), Royals (INR 13.2 crore), Royal Challengers Bangalore (INR 8.75 crore) and Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 7.05 crore).
SRH official have made their intentions clear that they will break the bank for Stokes or Green. With more than 40 crores available, SRH could possibly acquire them or both.
Official working closely with SRH management informed InsideSport, “Team will gun for a BIG ALLROUNDER at IPL Auction. Yes, Green, Stokes & Curran kind of players will be on the radar. But our decision-making will be dependent on the fact that whether these players are available for full IPL Window or not.”
For Punjab Kings 32.20 Crores are remaining, and they are desperate to get one all-rounder after letting go of Odean Smith. PBKS have could target Curran since he played for the franchise in the past. The task won’t be easy as CSK are desperate to get hold of Curran.

As for LSG are concerned Ravi Ashwin feels with 23.35 crores remaining, the franchise will target Stokes.“Lucknow Super Giants will definitely go for Ben Stokes. Only if they don’t get him, they will go for other players,” Ashwin said on his official YouTube channel.
Another reason why LSG will target Stokes is that he played for the Sanjeev Goenka team in 2017. Stokes also won MVP that season, scoring over 400 runs and taking 11 wickets. If LSG doesn’t get hold Stokes, then they will go after Curran and Green.
Mumbai Indians have the least purse remaining among these four teams with 20.55 crores. With Keiron Pollard retired, the franchise is now seeking a replacement. Green and Curran are on the radar of Mumbai Indians. They might go after Stokes also, but with a budget of 20 crores, they might have to pull the bidding.
IPL 2023: Why MI, PBKS, SRH & LSG targeting Stokes, Curran, and Green
These four teams have the highest purse remaining among 10 IPL teams.
· SRH, LSG, MI & PBKS do not have genuine all-rounders like the remaining six teams.
· Stokes, Curran, & Green are destructive batters, plus have the ability to change the complexion of the game with the ball in hand.
· With either of these players, SRH, LSG, MI, and PBKS will be strong with bat and ball in hand.
· Only issue for the four franchises is the availability of Stokes, Green, and Curran for the entire duration of IPL owing to WTC final and Ashes.
