IPL 2023 Auction: What injury problems are Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, & Deepak Chahar are going through?
Rohit Sharma suffered a thumb injury during the second ODI against Bangladesh. The India skipper is currently in Mumbai for treatment. It is still not clear how long the opener will be out of action. Rohit Sharma though ruled out a possible fracture in the post-match conference.
Rohit Sharma injury: Indian captain doubtful for Test series
- Rohit Sharma dislocated his thumb while fielding in the slips.
- He did not field or open the batting, visiting the hospital.
- Rohit had stitches and took pain-killing injections before batting at no.9
- The India opening batter’s availability is also doubtful for the Sri Lanka series
As for Rishabh Pant, the DC captain has injured his back and is ruled out Bangladesh ODI series. It is still not clear whether the wicketkeeper batter will return to the Test series starting on December 14. Pant’s back issues came to notice during the New Zealand tour. The 25-year-old was seen seeking medical help for the same.

As for CSK players Ravindra Jadeja and Deepak Chahar are concerned, the duo are out due to Knee and hamstring injuries respectively. A top BCCI official has said Jadeja won’t be making a comeback during the Test series.
“He won’t make it in time for the Test series. Jaddu is also looking difficult. We don’t want to rush their return. Players who are in the A tour will get call-ups for the Test series. Abhimanyu has done well and so does Mukesh and Saurabh. Now, it’s selectors’ call,” a BCCI official to InsideSport.IN.
