Due to mild groin discomfort, Anrich Nortje will not play in the second Test against the West Indies. Anrich Nortje took a match tally of 6/84 in South Africa’s 87-run victory in the first Test at Pretoria, including 5/36 in the first innings. His terrifying fast bowling turned the tide in the home team’s favour.
South Africa has opted not to call up a replacement, which means they are left with three seamers. In the spin department, either Keshav Maharaj or Simon Harmer can make a comeback. Proteas may also look at playing an extra batter in the second Test, with Ryan Rickelton the most obvious choice.
