IPL 2022: CA vs BCCI – Cricket Australia is facing the club vs country debate once again as several white-ball players are ready to snub the Pakistan tour for IPL 2022. To prevent that, CA has set April 6 as the day when the players can leave for their respective IPL teams. But some Australians are still ready to skip the Pak tour. As per Cricket Australia’s NOC, no centrally contracted player can play IPL before April 6. But if they were to play in the Pakistan series which ends on April 5 with the one-off T20 on April 5, the players would have been out till April 11 as they are required to serve a five-day quarantine. To avoid that, players are ready to skip the Pakistan tour and arrive in India for IPL and serve quarantine, ready to play from April 6.

“None of the contracted players will be available for the IPL before April 6, whether they are playing in the white-ball series (vs Pakistan) or not,” a Cricket Australia spokesperson told Cricbuzz.
