IPL 2022 – RCB new coach Sanjay Bangar- Sanjay Bangar will become Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) new coach for the next two seasons including the upcoming IPL 2022 season. Bangar was earlier the batting coach of RCB for the last two years. However, the franchise is yet to name a new captain after Virat Kohli stepped down from captaincy after last season.
Director of Cricket, Mike Hesson was appointed as the interim head coach after Simon Katich quit ahead of IPL 2021 Phase 2 citing bio-bubble fatigue. However, RCB didn’t have a successful journey as they failed in the playoffs against KKR. Sanjay Bangar will now take over as the head coach full time while Hesson will retain the director of cricket title.
