IPL 2022 – Ahmedabad IPL Franchise: Off-late the rumors were doing the rounds that Shastri will sign on the dotted line with the Ahmedabad franchise. The man himself has denied all speculations.
“I am just out of a bubble, I want some fresh air now. I am not in talks with anyone. I have not discussed the subject with anybody. I am not in talks with any team. I just want to chill at this stage. I will definately go back to television & media, the thing which I love the most”, declared Shastri on The Indian Express E-Adda.

It is reliably learnt that Gary Kirsten, who was coach of the 2011 World Cup-winning India team, is in talks to lead the support staff of the Ahmedabad franchise.
According to the sources, the deal with Kirsten is yet to be sealed but is on a very advanced stage.
The personnel from Ahmedabad franchise are also in touch with former Indian seamer Ashish Nehra for prominent role with the franchise.
Meanwhile, the issue surrounding CVC Capitals ownership of Ahmedabad franchsie is all but sorted.
According to the information coming in from high-placed BCCI sources, the board in next day or two will officially issue long-pending Letter of Intent to CVC backed Ahmedabad franchsie.
“Yes, the 3 member legal committee has cleared CVC Capital & they will be issued letter of intent now from the board. The formalities will be completed soon”.
It is worth noting that after fingers were pointed at CVC for alleged investments in the betting companies, BCCI had appointed 3 member legal committee to look into the allegations.
Now the appointed committee has given their GREEN-SIGNAL to the ownership of CVC Capital for Ahmedabad franchsie. This is the reason franchise personnel have got active and have started reaching out to potential coaching staff members.
