The team led by MS Dhoni, chose to train in Surat’s Lalabhai Contractor Stadium ahead of the season and kickstarted their preparations earlier this month. The reason for the team choosing to train in Surat was that the pitches there were developed using the same red soil pitches in Mumbai. After training for nearly a month with the majority of the squad, the team has now entered Mumbai to kickstart their title defence.
CSK will begin the season by facing Kolkata Knight Riders on 26th March, Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
