He will enter the MCG stadium from a different gate to his new teammates. Additionally, he will use a different left and set up in changing room ahead of the clash against Sydney Thunder.
He will have to maintain a distance of at least two metres from all the players and support staff. His dugout will be separate from the rest of the team and he will remain apart from teammates throughout the course of the game.
The cricketer cannot take part in any celebrations or glove punch his batting partner. The same rules apply while facing opposition players.
Moreover, Russell will have to use a separate microphone organised specially for him if he is required for a post-match interview. He will continue to stay away from the teammates unless he completes 7 days of isolation.

The measures are taken by Cricket Australia to Melbourne Stars to minimise the risk of COVID-19 positive case in the ongoing Big Bash League.
Andre Russell has spent only 72 hours quarantine in Sydney and stayed in Melbourne on Thursday night after landing in Australia earlier this week. Cricket Australia has given him a green light to play under strict COVID-19 protocols.

IPL 2022: Russell makes it big in retentions- The KKR star will make his first T20 appearance after getting retained for slab 1 price of Rs 16 crore for the next three seasons. One of the vital cogs for KKR over the years, Russell has played 84 IPL matches where he amassed 1700 runs and taken 72 wickets. He is expected to play a key role for IPL 2021 runners-up as KKR aim to end the 8-year-long title jinx.
