IPL 2022 – Cricket Australia’s stand upset IPL Teams: The Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) franchises are ‘EXTREMELY UPSET’ with Cricket Australia. Despite of Pat Cummins (KKR), David Warner (DC), Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Glenn Maxwell (RCB) not being part of Australia white-ball squad for Pakistan tour, they will not be allowed to play in IPL 2022 till April 6th. “This is completely uncalled for. We could have lived with it if these cricketers were part of the Australian squad. But when they are not, what is the point of not allowing them to play in IPL” said representative of one of the most affected franchise.

The teams are specially miffed with CA on not allowing the players to travel from their base till 6th April.

“Just imagine they will be released on 6th April – which means they will complete Covid protocols by 11th or 12th April & will surely miss 3-4 games. We will speak to BCCI about the issue”, he further added.

IPL 2022: IPL teams ‘EXTREMELY UPSET’ with Cricket Australia’s stand of not allowing Cummins, Warner & others in league till April 6th

Australian Cricketers IPL 2022: Cricket Australian on Monday informed their players that all contracted players with IPL deals – included those not part of Pakistan series – will not be available to take up their contracts until April 6.
Pat Cummins (KKR), David Warner (DC), Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Glenn Maxwell (RCB), neither of them were picked for the WHITE-BALL leg of Pakistan tour. But despite of that, they will not be allowed to play in IPL till April 6th.
Of the touring party, Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, Jason Behrendorff, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis have IPL teams.
All of these cricketers will also miss IPL 2022 minimum till 10th to 11th April.

The three ODIs and one-off T20, will be played in Rawalpindi from March 29.
